Song is only good because people are bad at this game, don't know how to cap against interupters, refuse to admit it, then bitch about the mechanics.

Or maybe they know how to cap vs interupts, but prefer to stand around and not have to do anything when Song goes up? You sir, fail.

Randomway. So you're telling me you've never played in a build that brought song?

Then say it's a dumb skill. Don't bag on people that used it, when you've used it yourself.

You aren't bad at the game if you used song, you're bad at the game if tou could not cap before song was introduced. If other teams are using song, you need to use it also because they can cap within five seconds of the host dying, while if you didn't bring song you would need time to deal with the interupters on your ghost (seeking arrows rangers being the only thing that requires an active effort in stopping), and for whatever you put on the ghost to block the interupts.

I voted strongly 8v8 because the few people I know who still play this game (if you can even call it a game now) told me to.
And stop Q_Qing about HA. Seriously. Stop it.

Most of the teams have more than one /P or even a paragon in the team. ANd it's wrong, a lot of the times both teams HAVE song and there are some rare times when it's dead hour and noobs skip to HoH without song.
@Thom: No, song was good because people were complaining about seeking and PD and were too dumb to cap against it.

Now they just can't stay locked on the ghost and spam pd or savage and d-shot (With practiced->seeking every now and then). They actually have to like... swap targets and not suck at the game. Thats so unfair, remove song from the game!!!1111
And no, I'm not mad because I lost to interrupt based teams pre-song. I know how to get past interrupters. However, I think just spamming PD while kiting around the alter and the occasional "wtf wheres my pre-viel on 3 u dumbass" and "blind on 3" on vent isn't exactly difficult role.... now that you actually have to watch 2 targets, takes more skill.
Ah well, I don't mind either way. Just bring back 8v8 ~.~

I know that its possible to interupt song, but song makes interupts into an ineffective way of holding an altar, even a random hammer bash on an interupter can allow a ghost to cap. It becomes a lot more complicated when people on your team start dying, which is likely to happen before your ghost dies anyways. Interupting may still have been viable with song, although more difficult, it wasn't as effective as before so no one bothered to try.
The fact is that song is a brainless skill made for noobs, who can't cap without it.

Before i speak on this i would like to quickly mention something mentioned by another guy in this post 1 page down whose name i cannot remember about playing HA. And how since 6v6 he has not stepped in it cept once in a while. This is the way many HAers feel and i believe anet thought lol that sitting down playing guildwars was all we did. Now im like 30 fame away from rank 9, have been since 6v6 came out almost because i dont play it as it sucks. Sure id like rank 9 but i dont play gw just for fame lol i play it for fun which it curretly is not giving me hence why im enjoying myself on call of duty till anet fix them selves up. Iv tried 6v6 it sucks and i dont think i need to go on as to why.
Now talking about song, ye im wondering why anet are doing all these mindless stuff which only downgrade the game. Alter capping was a skill in itself and cordination regarding managing to cap and stopping others from capping made guildwars all the more enjoyable.

yea, psychic distraction, seeking arrows/savage, choking gas. using them was a sign of being the greatest HA players ever. if you use them to beat all your opponents, youre the most skilled HoH holders evah.

The changes to party size and the meta game made song more effective than it would have been in an 8v8 altar capping environment. The skill itself is neither broken or imbalanced.

8v8 is definately ftw but I'm not sure I agree with this. In 8v8 you can kinda BS your way through a decent run with one or two guys on your team that don't know what they're doing--if you have good monks. In 6v6 if even one guy is an idiot it can flush your whole team. Spikes are weaker in 6v6, pressure is weaker in 6v6; and it's more energy economical for monks to prot the team and keep them up than it is in 8v8. As a general rule I tend to think that a coordinated offense is slightly more difficult in 6v6, whereas a coordinated defense is much easier.
